Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council undertook a consultation to establish views on the CIL rates they are looking to charge.
The respective Cabinets of the Councils have now authorised the submission of the draft CIL Charging Schedules and supporting evidence for examination. This decision was made by South Cambridgeshire District Council on 23 June and by Cambridge City Council on 7 July.
The Councils have appointed Intelligent Plans and Examinations (IPE) Ltd as an independent person to carry out the examination. The examiner will decide how the hearing is to be conducted and set time limits for those wishing to be heard to ensure that the examination is conducted efficiently and effectively.
Details of the examination will be published in due course, and at least 4 weeks before the opening of the examination. The Councils will contact each respondent to the consultation who expressed an interest in attending the examination.
