Have your say on the new Neighbourhood Plan for Thriplow and Heathfield
This is a joint release on behalf of South Cambridgeshire District Council and the Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Service.
Members of the public are being invited to comment on a new Neighbourhood Plan for the Thriplow and Heathfield area of South Cambridgeshire to help shape future development and ensure that local amenities, homes, environment and local character is protected and enhanced in years to come.
You can comment on the Submission version of the Thriplow and Heathfield Neighbourhood Plan during a consultation which runs from Monday 5 August to Monday 30 September 2024.
The Neighbourhood Plan has been prepared by Thriplow and Heathfield Parish Council and, once finalised and adopted, it will be used when making decisions on planning applications.
The consultation is the last opportunity for the public to comment before the Plan is examined by an Independent Planning Examiner. The Plan will then need to be passed by a referendum before being adopted.
Cllr Dr. Tumi Hawkins, Lead Cabinet Member for Planning at South Cambridgeshire District Council, commented:
"This is a unique opportunity for you to have a direct impact on the future of our community. Your feedback will help ensure that our local environment, homes, and community assets in Thriplow and Heathfield are protected and enhanced for years to come. We want to hear from as many residents as possible, so please take a moment to review the plan and let us know your views."
During the consultation, you can view the Neighbourhood Plan and its supporting documents on the South Cambridgeshire District Council website
