Greater Cambridge (see glossary) is an expensive place to buy or rent a home. High prices are fuelled by high demand, which itself is fuelled by the strength of the local economy which attracts highly skilled workers. Continue to ensure that new developments include appropriate and viable levels of affordable housing (see glossary).
Plan for a balance of tenure types - affordable rented, shared ownership (see glossary) and community-led housing.
