Greater Cambridge Shared Planning Local Land Charges team shortlisted for national award

We are delighted to reveal that Greater Cambridge Shared Planning has made the shortlist for the Local Authority Searches Team of the Year Award, at the 2023 Land Data Awards for Excellence - the only awards to recognise excellence and achievement in the profession.
This Award is sponsored by the Local Land Charges Institute (LLCI) and celebrates the hard work and achievements of Local Land Charges (LLC) teams in England and Wales. LLC teams enter this award themselves via an online nomination form. They must demonstrate how they have worked collaboratively as a team to overcome challenges, increase efficiency, and deliver excellent customer service. The award is open to all Local Authorities: unitary, district, county; migrated to HM Land Registry’s national LLC register, or not.
Our LLC team manages thousands of land and property searches each year and is an essential part of the home buying and selling process for our residents. Our current turnaround time is 10 days, which we are still able to provide via email allowing us to be a greener service. We are thrilled to have been nominated for the second year in a row.
The winners of the Best Performing Local Land Charges Department award will be announced at the Land Data Local Land Charges Awards for Excellence on 28 March 2023, at The Bristol Hotel, Bristol.
Fiona Barron, Chief Executive of Land Data, said:
“Local Land Charge teams are the unsung heroes of the home buying and selling process – often going out of their way to supply essential information that could affect the future use or development of a property. During these difficult economic times acknowledging achievement and recognising excellence in the profession, is more important than ever.”
